Product Name: Tyk2 (1051-1066) pY1054+pY1055+pS1063
Product Number: PE-04AXH80
Peptide Name: Tyk2 (1051-1066) pY1054+pY1055+pS1063
Product Use: This phosphopeptide may be useful as a substrate for screening the phosphatase activity of protein phosphatases. The peptide sequence is located in the protein kinase catalytic domain activation T-loop between subdomains VII and VIII. Y1054 and Y1055 phosphorylation stimulate phosphotransferase activity. Effect of phosphorylation of S1063 is unknown.

Scientific Background: Tyk2 is a protein-tyrosine kinase of the TK group and JakA family. Phosphorylation of Y1054 and Y1055 increases phosphotransferase activity. Tyk2 mediates intracellular signal transduction from Type I interferon-alpha/beta receptor (IFN) signalling and phosphorylates the interferon-alpha/beta receptor alpha chain. Missense mutations in this gene have been found in colon and ovarian tumours.
