Peptide Name: CasL (163-169) pY166
Product Use: Services as a blocking peptide for use with the Cas-L-pY166 rabbit polyclonal antibody (Cat. No.: AB-PN505) that is also available from Kinexus. This phosphopeptide may also be useful as a substrate for screening the phosphatase activity of protein phosphatases. The peptide sequence is located in the region between the SH3_9 and Serine_rich domains. This is the second major in vivo phosphorylation site in Cas-L. The effect of its phosphorylation is unclear.
Peptide Production Method: Solid-phase peptide synthesis
Peptide Origin: Homo sapiens
Peptide Sequence: GYV-pY-EYP
Peptide Modifications N Terminus: Free amino
Peptide Modifications C Terminus: βAla-Cys
Scientific Background: CasL is a docking protein which plays a central coordinating role for tyrosine-kinase-based signalling related to cell adhesion. It functions in transmitting growth control signals between focal adhesions at the cell periphery and the mitotic spindle in response to adhesion or growth factor signals initiating cell proliferation. It may also participate in integrin beta-1 or B cell antigen receptor (BCR) mediated signalling in B- and T-cells.
