Scientific Background: EpoR is the rceptor for erythropoietin. It mediates erythropoietin-induced erythroblast proliferation and differentiation. Upon EPO stimulation, EPOR dimerizes triggering the JAK2/STAT5 signalling cascade. In some cell types, can also activate the transcription factors STAT1 and STAT3, and the protein-tyrosine kinase Lyn.
